0.2.1 Update


Update 0.2.1 released! I have started expanding the game ever so slighty, and did some Quality of Life adjustments, mainly to humans.

Humans:

  • Humans after getting scared run to a random place on the map -> run to the furthest "trigger point" on the map
  • When panicking, humans will immidietaly return to calm -> start calming down over 5 seconds, after which they return to normal
  • Fixed humans moving inside each other. Now when multiple humans are stuck in front of a doorway, they will take some time to clear it, adding to the chaos, and try to avoid standing inside each other.

Balancing:

  • Spooky Surprise: 
    • When active, plasma drain happens every second -> at the same time as scare ticks (it's easier for everyone if they are synchronised, less bugs/exploits for me, less complexity for the players)
    • Button to activate ability on a controller has been changed (to Y on XBox, Triangle on PS) for better gameplay experience

Experimental/Work in Progress

  • Everytime you clear the level and start again, a random human will get stronger (indicated by a '+' after their name). This buff can stack infinitely (in fact, 4 buffs are indicated by a '*' instead of 4 '+').
  • These buffs are not saved currently, so the moment you Quit the game, they are cleared.
